More InformationThis FENS satellite meeting brings together stem cell biologists, neuroscientists, bioengineers, electronic engineers, statistical physicists and mathematicians with the aim of combining different approaches in a concerted effort towards biological computing with human cortical neurons.
Talks will cover aspects of stem cell differentiation to cortical networks, design of bioengineering, experimental and computational approaches to their interrogation, analysis of activity and processing, and their relevance to neuromorphic computing and potential applications in emerging technologies. The Satellite is aimed at neuroscientists interested in understanding the functions of human neuronal networks and those interested in their potential applications to cortical neurons based computing and related areas.
Speakers include Thomas Hartung (USA), Dani Tornero and Jordi Soriano (Spain), Paul Roach (UK), Eric Hill (UK), Hideaki Yamamoto (Japan), Francesca Santoro (Germany), Remi Monasson (France), David Saad (UK) Ramez Daniel (Israel), Shahar Kvatinsky (Israel), Brett Kagan (Australia).
The meeting will encourage poster exhibition, especially from ESRs and 2 submissions will be selected to give a 15-minute talk during the day. The meeting welcomes industry participation.
Registration will be £80, with a discount Postdoctoral/Student rate of £40. Meeting capacity is limited to 100.
