Practising Participatory Research SymposiumDescription'Practising Participatory Research' will introduce community organisation leaders, teachers, researchers, and academics to different ways of engaging and understanding their own communities and collaborating with community members to win change. The methods will include community campaigning and organising, photo and video production, and visual research methods led by experts with experience working in a variety of different contexts. The workshops will provide an opportunity to practice the methods with other participants and reflect on your experiences and the potential applicability of those methods and collaboration between academics and community workers in your own community, work, teaching, and work contexts.
Sexualities in the Social Sciences Research Network EventDescriptionThe Sexualities in the Social Sciences Research Network event will be the launch of a UK sexualities network that enables collaboration between UK academics to facilitate larger scale research and knowledge exchange activity. This event will involve networking, ideation of core goals of network, and establishment of activities for the year and next steps.
