Key deposit payment for lockers authorised by the Disability and Neurodiversity Support Team.


Lockers are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to Aston University students who receive approval from the Disability and Neurodiversity Support Team.

Once all lockers are allocated, other students who receive approval from the Disability and Neurodiversity Support Team will be added to the waiting list.

 

Detailed Description

Terms and Conditions
The locker and locker key shall at all times remain the property of Aston University.  The lockers are provided free of charge, however, a £20 key deposit payment is required.  This will be refunded except in the following circumstances:
- If the key is lost
- If the key is returned late (see duration below)
- If a replacement lock is required
- If the University incurs any other expense as a result of misuse or any other action

Duration - Late return of the key will result in non-refund of the key deposit.  Lockers may be used for a maximum period of one academic year.  The option to extend for another year will depend on availability and demand.

Use of Locker - Lockers are intended primarily as a convenience for the temporary storage of textbooks and articles of outer clothing such as coats.  Do not use the lockers to store food, valuable items or dangerous or prohibitive goods inc. flammable liquids.  Do not affix sticky labels or otherwise deface the outside of the lockers.

At your own risk - The University shall have no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage suffered to your personal belongings placed in the locker for any reason whatsoever, at any time.  The User shall comply in all respects with the University rules, regulations and codes of conduct.

Access by the University - Locker use will be monitored on a regular basis, without notice, for the purposes of security, maintenance and repair, and for any other purpose considered essential.  The University reserves the right to open your locker without notice in the presence of two or more members of University staff.

Termination - The University shall be entitled to terminate your use of the locker by giving no less than one week's prior notice.  Any student whose locker agreement is ended by the University on the grounds of misuse, will be banned from applying for a locker in the future.

Uncollected goods - Anything left in the locker after the maximum period, or once a student is no longer current, will be kept for a minimum period of one calendar month, after which time, the University reserves the right to dispose of the goods.  The University will attempt to contact you by email during the month to remind you to collect your goods.

Payment of the deposit confirms your agreement to these terms and conditions.
